Antenatal

Full care is provided by Direct Access through The Women and Childrens Hospital and the community midwife.

Child Health

The practice provides a full immunisation service and Dr Kieran runs child development clinics by appointment

Family Planning

A comprehensive service is available including oral contraceptives and Depot injections. Pregnancy testing is available to ALL including under 16's - all provided in total confidence.

Hypertension

The positive management of patients with blood pressure problems is one of the practices highest priorities. Regular clinics are held - usually two or three times a week.

Diabetes

Dr Billings/Sister Maria Raper have the lead roles in the weekly provision of clinics for patients with a diabetic condition.

Cervical Cytology

Our practice nurses are available to take smears. In line with national policy we recommend three-yearly smears for all women aged between 25-49, and at five yearly intervals for those aged 50 – 64.

Asthma and COPD

Under the direction of Dr Kieran specialist clinics for asthma sufferers are available on a weekly basis.  

Counselling

A variety of counselling services are available by community counsellors and others. Referral is subject to an initial consultation with a G.P.
